Tina Michele Geving, a devoted mother, loving wife, fiercely loyal friend, and cherished community member, passed away on August 29, 2026, following a brief but brave battle with cancer. She was 55 years old. Though her time with us was cut far too short, the joy, warmth, and vibrant energy she brought into the world leave a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Born on June 25, 1971, Tina grew up in Milton, Washington. Her childhood was filled with sunny outdoor adventures—camping trips with her family, soccer matches, and summer days spent around her family’s pool. The pool was the ultimate neighborhood hub, always filled with friends, laughter, and Tina’s trademark feisty, competitive spirit in every game played. Summers held a special place in her heart, especially the time spent at Mason Lake where her parents owned a lake house. She loved nothing more than laying in the sun, swimming, and, of course, playing spirited card games with family.

Tina attended Fife High School, graduating in the Class of 1989, she etched her name in the school’s history books by playing on the state soccer team and scoring the first goal at a state tournament in Fife High School history. Off the field, her love for sports and her innate desire to lift others up shone bright as a cheerleader, always radiating school spirit and cheering loudest for the success of those around her.

She went on to attend Western Washington University, earning her degree in Business. During her very first week on campus, fate stepped in when she met her future husband, Travis. The two connected from the start, embarking on a life together filled with adventure, partnership, and deep devotion. Together, they built a beautiful life and celebrated 29 years of marriage.

For 30 years, Tina dedicated her career to Alaska Airlines, working in Human Resources. She truly embodied the "Alaska Spirit" and brought genuine warmth, empathy, and heart to her work—putting the human in Human Resources. She was a deeply valued member of the team and built countess lifelong friendships throughout her decades with the company.

Above all her accomplishments, being a mother was Tina’s true superpower. She and Travis were blessed with three wonderful children, Madison(deceased), Mason and Mallory, who were the absolute center of her world. There was no mother more involved, devoted, or present. There was nowhere else on earth she would rather be than in the stands at a game her children were playing. Tina lived her life for her children until her very last days, loving nothing more than taking her family to Disneyland and getting to feel like a kid again through her children's eyes.

Tina’s love for children and community extended far beyond her own home; it brought her immense joy simply to be around people and build lasting connections. A passionate volunteer, she was a constant, welcoming volunteer in the classroom and served on the PTA at Rainier View Elementary School, raising thousands of dollars to benefit children's literacy. In the local sports community, she dedicated countess hours to the Steel Lake Little League, raising funds so that every child had the opportunity to play, grow, and belong.

Tina will be remembered for her infectious spirit, her unwavering strength, her generous heart, and the profound love she showered upon her family and friends.

Tina is survived by her husband, Travis Geving; her beloved children, Mason and Mallory; her loving parents, James and Sandy Palmer; father in law Gordon Geving(Judy Mohr) her brother, Rick Palmer (Cami King); her brother-in-law, Tyler Geving (Anastasia); her sister-in-law, Teresa Geving; her cherished nieces, Mackenzie and Morgan; her dynamic nephews, Taylor, Thomas, and Demetri; along with many other loved relatives, neighbors, dear friends, and colleagues.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Thursday October 1, 2026 at Pioneer Park Pavilion 330 S. Meridian in Puyallup from 6:30-10:00pm, the ceremony starting at 7:30pm.
