Susan Myers

d. October 24, 2025

Susan Margaret (Slater) Myers was born on August 14, 1944 in the quiet town of Sedro-Woolley, Washington. From the very beginning, she was part of a close-knit family, growing up alongside her siblings—sisters who were her lifelong companions and a brother who shared in the memories of childhood. The importance of family stayed with her throughout her life and helped shape the woman we all knew and loved.
Having an affinity for numbers Susan worked in banking as a young woman both in Seattle and Ellensburg. In her later years Susan brightened the lives of residents at a local retirement home.
Susan met her husband Randy when they were merely 13 years old, eventually marrying in 1964 at the age of 20. And from that young love grew a lifelong partnership, one built on shared dreams and a love that only grew deeper over time.
Together they welcomed three daughters, who intern gifted them with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Watching her family grow was one of her greatest sources of pride.
Susan found joy in the little things, especially spending time with all of her flowers in her garden, family camping trips, listening to music and being creative.
But perhaps what stood out most about Susan was her spirit. She was kind, grounded, full of quiet strength. She lead with her heart, offered steady love and remained deeply connected to those she cared about. Whether as a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother or a friend, Susan was someone people could count on.
Her legacy isn’t just the life she lived—it’s the lives she touched. In every memory, every lesson, every moment of laughter or quiet comfort, she remains with us.
Susan was preceded in death by her husband Randy Earl Myers and her brother Charles Slater. She is survived by sisters MaryLou Armstrong of Snohomish, Joyce Sward of LaConner and Shirley Raker of Anacortes. Susan’s legacy will live on in her daughters Jodi, Amy and Lori, son-in-law Kevin, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
