On January 27th, 2026, Steven Warren Sandell, age 40, passed away in Puyallup, Washington. Born on April 26th, 1985, in Daytona Beach, Florida, Steven brought warmth and light into the world from the very beginning. He leaves behind a legacy defined by love, kindness, and strength.
Steven was a proud graduate of Seabreeze High School, class of 2002. He continued his education at Daytona State College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management — an accomplishment he worked hard for and took great pride in.
Steven was a gentle and compassionate man who found joy in caring for others, and his spirit was as bright and welcoming as his smile. He found that same joy in the culinary arts and in his love for animals — passions he proudly shared with his daughter, Sydney
Throughout his life, Steven’s kindness and generosity touched many, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and all whose lives he brightened.
Steven is survived by his beloved daughter, Sydney Sandell; his former wife, Michelle Sandell; his father, Steven E. Sandell; his stepmother, Lanell Lewis; his brother, Scott Jackson; and many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Matthews.
Those who loved Steven will carry his kindness with them, a quiet reminder of the good he brought into their lives.
