Ronald A. Slinker

Ronald A. Slinker 68 years lived.

Ron was born on May 15, 1957, passed away on April 12,2026 after a
brief stay in the hospital.

He is survived by wife Shirley, Children Jason Slinker, Kari Delapp,
and Jennifer (Jeremy) Luzzo. Seven grandchildren, Jessica, Hunter, Emily, Madison, Lauren, Sadie Mae and Jason Jr and two great grandchildren Alice and Jade. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

Born in San Diego , Ron had spent most of his life in the Puyallup
area. He recently attended his 50th class reunion of Rogers high
school class of 75. He loved to go hunting, camping and cruising. He was a coach to all three of the kids during Elementary school years. He also loved his Seahawks and got to see them win the Superbowl this year.

At age 46 Ron suffered a cardiac arrest which led down a path
Of many cardiac procedures for Cardiomyopathy. A Pacemaker, then
defibrillator then LVAD (heart pump) in 2024. A special thank you to Pulse heart Center staff for all of your loving care and support. These things allowed us to spend more time with him. Seeing what it took to just be ready for the day with his medical devices and batteries humbled me to no end. He was my HERO, Ron had quite a few events in his life that could have made him bitter, but instead he accepted with grace and dignity what god had planned, and would often say "it is what it is" I'm still here.

In his younger years he worked at gas stations, Wood mills, and Fick
foundry. After returning to school he was hired at Boeing as a
technical illustrator for 24 years before retiring.

Ron and Shirley's love story started with a chance meeting when he was
17 and she was 14. We had a wonderful 52 years together, side by
side, hand in hand. We hung on to each other through storms and
laughed and enjoyed life together through the good times. He was honest, compassionate, loving and fair. The world has lost a good person. The family has lost their patriarch.

We would like to invite you to a Celebration of life for Ron. May 16th from 1-4 p.m. at Mazatlan Mexican Restaurant, banquet rooms, 10302 198th St. Ct. E. Graham, WA 98338. A light meal to be served. If you have stories, we will love to hear them. His favorite Color was red, and his favorite team of course the Seahawks . This is a casual event, so feel free to wear red or your favorite Seahawks shirt in honor of Ron.
