Roby Samson Dorman

Roby Samson Dorman was born August 9, 1944 in Tacoma, WA to Raymond and Leila Dorman and passed peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 21, 2026.

Roby graduated from Stadium High School before entering the United States Air Force at the age of 17. He then left the Air Force to take care of his mother and this is when he met the love of his life of now 60 years, Virginia “Gigi” Dorman. Roby and Gigi married on May 28, 1966 and had three children; Leila (Steve) Eaton, Lisa Prime, and John (Stacia) Dorman. They have 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, all who miss him deeply.

Through the years, Roby and Gigi opened their hearts and doors to many “kids” who have become family. Roby retired from Boeing as an electrician. He was creative and kind. He loved working on cars and projects and enjoyed vacationing and travels in their motorhome. If you were blessed to ever receive a gift from Roby, you know it was thoughtful and intentional with meaning. As Roby grew older he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and we know he was welcomed at the gates of heaven.

A celebration of life will be held, April 18, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Bonney Lake Community Church, 8201 Locust Ave E, Bonney Lake, WA 98391 with a reception to follow.
