Robert Blake Pearson

April 18, 1996 — December 11, 2025

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of Robert Blake Pearson of Graham, WA, known to all as Blake due to injuries sustained in an auto accident, on December 11, 2025. Blake was born on April 18, 1996, in American Fork, Utah, to Todd and Debbie Pearson. From the very beginning, Blake brought joy to those around him. He was a happy, easygoing baby with a sweet smile and a gentle spirit that never left him.

Blake grew up surrounded by sisters who adored him, and he quickly became the heart of the family. He had a gift for making friends wherever he went and a natural ability to make people laugh. Whether through a goofy face, a joke, or simply his presence, Blake brought light and ease into every room. He was competitive in the best way, especially when it came to basketball and video games, but always kind and inclusive.

Blake and his family called many places home throughout his childhood. He started life out in Lehi, UT and then moved to Mesa and then Chandler AZ. Finally, the family moved to Hillsboro, Oregon where it became home except for a 2 month absence while living in Colorado Springs, CO. Blake graduated from Hillsboro High School (Hilhi) in 2014 where he was part of the basketball team all 4 years and developed lifelong friendships with several of his teammates.

As a teenager and young adult, Blake was known for his loyalty and steady nature. He formed deep friendships that felt more like brotherhoods and stayed closely connected to those he loved. He was a peacemaker, often stepping in to calm tensions and help others feel understood. Blake did not speak just to speak, but when he did, his words were thoughtful, honest, and sincere.

Blake served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Dominican Republic, where his faith grew as he learned to serve others with humility and love. That same devotion carried into every part of his life. He later graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in software engineering and took great pride in providing for his family.

Blake met the love of his life, Jessica Mitchell, and from their first date he knew she was the one. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Seattle Washington Temple on January 19, 2019. Together they built a beautiful life centered on love, laughter, faith, and family. Blake was welcomed and adored by Jessica’s family and was more than an in-law. He was a true son and brother to the entire family.

After graduating from college, Blake began his career at Kratos in Colorado Springs, Colorado. During this time, Blake and Jessica welcomed their first child, a moment that brought profound joy and shaped Blake’s deep love for his family.

Colorado was home for nearly two years, but Blake and Jessica felt a strong pull to return to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family. Blake later accepted a position with Boeing in the Seattle area, allowing them to return to Washington, a place where they truly felt at home. It was here that they welcomed their second son Rhodes adding more joy to their family. There, they built a life filled with love, purpose, and meaningful connections to family and community.

Blake was an incredible husband to Jessica and a deeply devoted father to his two sons, Calihan and Rhodes. He found pure joy in playing with them, caring for them, and being fully present in their lives. His family was his greatest treasure, and everything he did was for them. He was a provider, a protector, and a constant source of comfort and strength, always making family time a priority whether playing games on the Switch with Calihan, taking evening walks together, or intentionally building meaningful moments into their daily routines.

Above all, Blake was loyal, dependable, and deeply loving. He showed up for people. He listened. He cared. His impact is woven into the lives of everyone who knew him, and his legacy lives on through his family, his friendships, and the countless quiet ways he made the world better.

Blake will always be remembered as a beloved husband, father, son, grandson, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, and friend. Though our hearts ache in his absence, we find comfort in knowing his love continues and that he will always be watching over those he cherished most.

Blake is survived by his loving wife, Jessica, and their two cherished sons, Robert Calihan and Rhodes Leo; his parents, Todd and Debbie Pearson; his beloved sisters Lexis (Nate), Jennaca (Cody), Sadie; his parents-in-law, Rick and Lorilee Mitchell; and grandfather Gerald Peterson, grandmother Alene Pearson. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family members and many dear friends whose lives were enriched by his kindness, loyalty, and love.
