Martin Wayne Goold passed away due to Alzheimer's on January 7, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born July 12,1950 in Pendleton, OR.
Martin was the second oldest born to Warren Lee and Dona Jo Goold. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister. He grew up in Pilot Rock, OR until he graduated from high school.
He served a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in the France Switzerland mission. He loved his mission. If he could have stayed in France he would have.
He earned a bachelor's degree from BYU in Provo, UT majoring in French and a minor in Spanish. Later in life he earned a Master's degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
He was married and sealed for time and all eternity to his childhood friend Randie Hadden on April 20, 1973 in the Provo, UT temple. They had 7 children together. Valinda, Eric, Mathieu, Tyler, Lindsey, Hillary and Bryce.
In 1979 they decided to move to the Northwest and bought a house in Puyallup, WA. He was in the grocery business and worked for Albertsons as a store director for nearly 20 years. Then as a vendor for Tree of Life/ Gourmet Award Foods for about 10 years. His last job was with the Washington State Patrol as the office manager for the crime lab in Seattle. He retired at age 64 due to being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's.
He leaves behind his 5 living children Eric, Mathieu, Tyler, Hillary, Bryce and his loving wife of 52 years Randie.
He is preceded in death by his 2 daughters Lindsey and Valinda and his parents Warren Lee and Dona Jo Goold.
His funeral will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. Family viewing will be held at 10:00 A.M. It will take place at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 12407 Military Road East Puyallup, WA 98374.
He will be laid to rest at the Sumner Cemetery next to his daughter Valinda in Sumner, WA.
