With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and truly unforgettable woman.

A mother of four and grandmother of four, she spent much of her life caring for others. She worked as a phlebotomist before becoming a homemaker while raising her two youngest children. She was tenacious and strong, sassy and quick-witted, with a personality that was entirely her own. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, and those who knew her knew there was rarely any question about exactly where she stood.

One of the greatest relationships of her life was the bond she shared with her twin sister. Her twin wasn’t simply her sister; she was her other half, her lifelong companion, and her world. Their story began together before they ever took their first breaths, creating a connection unlike any other that remained an extraordinary part of her life.

She loved fiercely and in her own way. She could make you laugh, drive you absolutely crazy, catch you off guard with her wit, and leave behind stories that will be told for years to come. She could be stubborn, determined, complicated, hilarious, and incredibly resilient. She was never meant to fit neatly into a few words—and anyone who truly knew her wouldn’t expect her to.

Maria is survived by her four children, Brandy Bonin, Danielle Gamble, Lucas Michaud, and Allison Michaud; and her four grandchildren, Kylie Randall, Kaycie Garrison, Michael Garrison, and Scarlett Michaud-Tilley. She is also survived by her beloved twin sister, whose extraordinary bond with Maria remained one of the most important relationships of her life.

But before she was Mom, Grandma, or even someone’s sister, she was a daughter.

And while those who love her now face the unimaginable task of saying goodbye, there is comfort in believing that she did not make that final journey alone. At the end of her life, she was once again somebody’s little girl—received on the other side by her dad, Grandpa, whose ashes she chose to have remain with her.

There will never be another quite like her.

Tenacious. Strong. Sassy. Witty. A daughter. A twin. A mother. A grandmother.

She was loved. She mattered. And she will be remembered. ❤️
