Kenneth Thomas Martin (1941-2025) Kenneth (Ken) Thomas Martin, 84, of Puyallup, Washington, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 28, 2025, following complications from Parkinson’s disease. The love of his family surrounded him. Ken was born in 1941 in Puyallup, Washington, to Thomas and Lois Martin. He was a proud graduate of Puyallup High School and went on to serve his country honorably in the Army and Air Force Reserves. A hardworking and entrepreneurial man, Ken owned and operated several businesses in the Puyallup area. Ken had a lifelong passion for racing and building race cars. He was deeply committed to civic life, serving the community of Puyallup as Mayor and as a city council member for over 20 years. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ken’s faith was central to his life and guided his love for family, service, and community. In 1965, he married his treasured sweetheart, Vincene (Rackliff), and held her dear from the moment they met. They shared 60 wonderful years. Ken was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Kathleen Martin; his parents, Tom and Lois Martin; and his sisters, Linda and Kathleen. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Vincene; his children, Deborah Martin, Sandra (Randy) Campbell, Jacquelyn (Bret) Morrell, and Kenneth (Paula) Martin; his sister, Marjory (Walt) Powloski; 21 grandchildren, along with many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him greatly. Ken will be remembered for his love of family, unwavering faith, service to others, and the kindness and strength he shared freely. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1015 13th St SW, Puyallup, WA 98371. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
