Judy Ann Watkins Hatch

Judy Ann Hatch, born on July 12, 1951, in Ontario, Oregon, passed away on May 15, 2026, in Puyallup, Washington. She was 74 years old. Her final years were spent living in the countryside near Eatonville, Washington, where she was blessed with a beautiful view of Mt. Rainier.

Judy graduated from Meridian High School and pursued theological studies at Nazarene Bible College. Her education laid the foundation for a life devoted to her faith and community. She began her professional career with the Department of Veteran Affairs, where she worked diligently before retiring approximately 25 years ago. Following her retirement, Judy embraced a new calling as a Lay Minister for the Methodist Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina. Her ministry reflected her deep commitment to her Christian beliefs and her desire to make a positive impact on those around her.

Judy enjoyed using her creative talents and sharing them with others. She was a certified Master Doll Maker whose award-winning creations brought joy and admiration to many. She enjoyed played the piano, flute, and violin. Judy also enjoyed sewing and traveling.

A devout Christian throughout her life, Judy was actively involved in a local church within the communities where she has lived. Her faith was central to her identity and guided her actions in all aspects of life.

She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Albra Watkins; her sister Albra Hartpence; and her granddaughter Jennifer Burkey. Judy is survived by her siblings Cindy (John) Dudenake and Ronald Watkins; her children Susan Allen and David Watkins; and her grandchildren Kristie Olds, Charlie Hatch, and Aylin Hatch.

Judy will be laid to rest at Weiser Hillcrest Cemetery. A memorial service will be arranged at a later date in June or July.
