With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Jason Paul Stanifer, who passed away on June 24, 2026, at the age of 22 while living in Mesa, Arizona.

Jason was born on August 1, 2003, in Tacoma, Washington, to his loving parents, Thomas ("Stan") and Marina Stanifer. Although his time on earth was far too short, he filled the lives of those around him with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories.

Jason was, without question, the class clown. He had an incredible sense of humor and a gift for making people laugh. Whether he was making up silly dances to his favorite songs, cracking jokes, creating elaborate handshakes with family and friends, or simply being his goofy self, Jason had a way of bringing smiles to everyone around him. His laughter was contagious, and his joyful spirit turned ordinary moments into memories that those who knew him will cherish forever.

Jason possessed a gentle heart and genuine compassion for others. He never hesitated to lend a hand, offer a smile, or brighten someone's day with his humor.

Jason had a passion for cars, firearms, music, and especially fireworks. He loved the excitement, beauty, and celebration they represented. As our family gathered this Fourth of July, it was impossible not to think of him and how much he would have enjoyed every brilliant burst of light illuminating the sky.

Family meant everything to Jason. His father was not only his dad but also his very best friend. He cherished the bond he shared with his big brother and loved his sisters deeply. The love he had for his family was evident in the time he spent with them, the laughter they shared, and the countless memories they created together. His family will forever treasure his generous heart, his playful spirit, and the joy he brought into their lives.

Jason is survived by his parents, Marina and Thomas ("Stan") Stanifer; his step father, Patrick Sulley, brother, Christopher Anderson; his sisters, Crystal Lukosh, Anna Stanifer, and Lydia Stanifer; his grandparents, Kenneth and Maridel Adam, Thomas Stanifer, and Joe and Jeri Sulley; his aunts and uncles, Kenneth and Sarah Adam, Cory and Michelle Moore, Miranda Sulley, Jason and Michelle Stanifer, and Danny and Sandi Fabian; his niece, Layla Heyd; numerous cousins; and many dear friends who loved him deeply.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Teabo, and his grandmother, Martha Stanifer.

The loss of Jason has left an immeasurable void in our hearts. We miss him more than words can express, and we continue to grieve this unimaginable loss every day. Yet even in our sorrow, we find comfort and strength in our faith in Jesus Christ and in the promise that Jason is now at peace in Heaven. We hold tightly to the hope that one day we will be reunited with him.

Jason's life reminds us that even those who make us laugh the most may be carrying burdens we cannot see. In his memory, we encourage anyone who is struggling with depression, hopelessness, or thoughts of suicide to reach out for help. You are not alone, you are loved, and your life has immeasurable value. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day by calling or texting 988.

Though Jason's years were few, the love he gave, the joy he shared, and the memories he created will remain with us always. His laughter will echo in our hearts, his kindness will continue to inspire us, and his memory will live on in all who were blessed to know and love him.

Our greatest privilege was being Jason's family, and we will carry his love with us for the rest of our lives.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our son and brother.

His funeral will be Tuesday July 14th at noon at Valley Funeral Home 217 Pioneer Way E Puyallup.
