Janice "Jan" Darrah

Janice “Jan” Darrah passed peacefully on October 14, 2026. She was born in Greenbush, Minnesota and moved to the Seattle area in the 1960’s. Jan was a successful entrepreneur, launching several businesses including jewelry and gift boutiques, an antiques store and many real estate endeavors. She was a woman who always knew her own mind and she never held back in accomplishing her goals. Jan also enjoyed fishing and spent most of her free time on various Pacific Northwest rivers.

Jan was one of six siblings and is survived by two siblings: Allen and Janette. She is also survived by her daughter, Debbie Shinnick, Debbie’s two daughters, Jade Shinnick and Lexi Shinnick. Jan is also survived by her son Zeb Darrah and Zeb’s son Ethan Darrah.
