Jack Brian Higgins passed away peacefully at home on October 3, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. Born on September 23, 1948, he grew up in the Tacoma - Puyallup area. Jack was an elementary school teacher for the Puyallup School District, teaching fifth and sixth grades. He loved being a teacher and liked to participate in intramural sports. Most of all, he enjoyed running into former students around town, always promising to bring class pictures the next time.
He was interested in what they were up to and wanted to know who they kept in touch with. After retirement, Jack spent many winters in Arizona where he enjoyed riding motorcycles and bicycles and playing golf. He also loved cars and attended the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale car auction every year since 2010. Summers were spent in Suncadia, Cle Elum where the golf was good and the scenery and wildlife are beautiful.
In addition to attending car shows, Jack was known for buying and selling lots of cars, trucks and motorcycles. He enjoyed talking with the salespeople and browsing around car lots. All a part of the hunt!
Jack is survived by his wife Patricia, his children, Jennifer, Angela (Murray), Aaron (Judy) and Adam (Ondreya) and his grandchildren, Keyle, Zoe, Gavin, Gracelyn and Colton. His family meant the world to him.We are deeply grateful for the love and support received during this difficult time. A big thank you to his hospice nurses and staff for all the amazing care and support they provided during the last few weeks of his life. Jack will be deeply missed by all of those he knew and loved him so very much.
