Domnick D. Mauro (“Sonny”), 88, passed away peacefully at home on April 20, 2026. Born Dec. 23, 1937, in Puyallup, WA, Sonny spent his entire life in the Puyallup area. He enjoyed a 35-year career at Boeing as a drafter working most of that time on the Minute Man project. He was an avid car enthusiast who raced in his younger days and took pride in restoring his 1959 Corvette. His greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted father who never missed a milestone, a loving grandfather who passed down family traditions, and a loyal friend. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith L. Mauro; his brother, Del Mauro; his sons, Jeff Mauro (Kristine) and their son, Payton; and Greg Mauro (Kim) and their daughter, Piper; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Mauro and Dorothy (Mauro) Callaway, and his sister, Margie Birch. (Just 30 days later, on May 20, 2026, his beloved wife of 60 years, Judith L. Mauro, also passed away.)
