David Scott Sarver, age 71, of Puyallup, WA passed peacefully on Sept. 06, 2026. He is survived by the Mother-of-his-Children, Kathleen Herrmann; Daughter, Heather Skrnich (Chris Skrnich); Son, Michael Sarver (Krista Sarver); and Grandchildren Huluta Sarver, Freya Sarver and Hailey Skrnich.

David was many things in his life, but he was never dull. He was a father and a friend, a wonderful chef, your friendly neighborhood IT specialist and always a Drama Queen.

David was born in Tacoma to William and Barbara Sarver and was later joined by his younger brother, Steven. As a child, David was adventurous and loved to learn and was always a fan of science fiction. In his youth he was even known to enjoy the great outdoors.

After 30+ years in I.T., David retired early and followed his passion, cooking. He graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school and continued to share his love for food and cooking with family and friends. If he wasn't creating a fabulous family dinner, he was probably tinkering with a new home automation creation.

In life, David struggled to find his place. It took great courage and strength to come to terms with himself, yet as the truth was reconciled it created a stronger bond in his family and a greater understanding of this world for his children.

David will be missed by many, but never forgotten. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Life Long Aids Alliance, the Seattle Men’s Chorus or your favorite LGBTQ community. You are also encouraged to dress like Carmen Miranda, and dance along to “It’s Raining Men”.

There will be a Celebration of Life held on Oct. 18, 2026, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the home of Michael and Krista Sarver.
