Christopher Kendrick passed away at home in Puyallup, WA on February 1, 2026, at the age of 48 years. He was born in Fontana, California on November 22, 1977 To Charles Eugene Kendrick and Susan Mary Populorum.
He got his dream job as a Technical Designer/draftsman for The Boeing Co, at 19 years old. In August 1997, his parents and younger sister Shannon, took a road trip with him from Rialto, California to Renton, Washington to get him settled in an apartment and his new job.
Throughout his tenure with Boeing, he worked in the Renton, Everett, and the Auburn plants. His last assignment took him to the Frederickson plant, where he worked until January 30, 2026.
In July 2008, he met his love, Sara Eddy. They married May 12, 2012. They made their home in Renton, until they moved to Puyallup in August 2012, when they purchased their first home.
In his spare time, Chris enjoyed collecting baseball cards, comic books, Hot Wheels cars, sports memorabilia, and other die-cast models. He was a talented airbrush painter, who painted his own car model bodies.
He enjoyed racing RC cars and slot cars. He was frequently found at Pacific Slot Car Raceway in Edgewood. He was an avid pool player. He played with the American Pool players Association (APA) “Chalking Dead” team, for 9 seasons. When he changed teams, he played for the “Cuesaders” on Sundays at Culpepper’s Bar & Grill in Graham.
In May 2019, he found his dream 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu. He took it to his first car show at Good Guys in Puyallup. Over the years, he has frequented the Good Guys Show. In July 2025, he and all his car buddies took his car to the Vintiques NW National Car Show in Yakima, where his car won a prize.
His family will miss his smile, his contagious laugh, his huge heart, and his unwavering loyalty to his friends. He was a kind, respectful, and gentle man.
Chris is survived by his wife, Sara Kendrick of Puyallup; parents, Charles and Susan Kendrick of Riverside, CA;. sister, Shannon Kendrick of Riverside, CA; grandmother, Dorothy Populorum of Folsom, CA; uncles and aunts, James (Kim) Populorum of Aurora, CO; Arlene Pierce of Chicago, IL; Ronald Hudoba of Ventura, CA
Also survived by cousins, Nathan and Spencer Populorum, Aurora, CO; Laura (Sam) Desopo, Temecula, CA; Sammy (Alison) Desopo, Oceanside, CA ; Matthew (Alexandria) Desopo, Murrieta, CA ; Tino Desopo, Oceanside, CA; Steven Kendrick of Hemet, CA.; David (Magali) Hudoba of Ventura, CA; Jule Ann Martin of Jacksonville, Florida.
Celebration of Life to be held on Thursday, February 12th at 3:00 pm. Valley Burial & Cremation, 217 E. Pioneer, Puyallup, WA 98372. Dinner immediately following celebration.
