Amber Rose Valenzuela

Our beloved, Amber Rose Valenzuela, 44, of Puyallup, passed away on April 4, 2026, of natural causes. Born on April 27, 1981, in Port Angeles, WA. Amber was the beloved daughter of Karl and Zayna Petzing. She grew up in Port Angeles, Lynnwood and Bothell along with her two brothers and sister. Amber graduated Seattle Christian School in 1999.

Amber met and married Christopher Valenzuela while he was in the serving in the Navy. They wed February 20th, 2005, and raised three girls. Amber dedicated her life to her family as a devoted wife and stay-at-home mother. She will be remembered for her boundless generosity, open heart, and the deep care she showed to everyone around her. Amber had a rare gift for making people feel welcomed, supported, and loved. Her hugs will be greatly missed by all.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—collecting fountain pens and stuffed animals, reading, playing mobile games, and embroidery. She especially cherished caring for her daughters, her cats and anyone in need of comfort or kindness. Amber had a nurturing spirit and a natural ability to “mother” not just her own children, but all those fortunate enough to be in her life.

She is survived by her husband Christopher Valenzuela, daughters, Isabelle Valenzuela, Abigail Valenzuela and Sarabeth Valenzuela; her parents, Karl and Zayna Petzing; her brothers, Darrick Petzing (Amanda); Greggory Petzing; and her sister, Loreen Hamilton, (Joshua). She was a wonderful, giving Aunty to her six nieces and nephews.

A service to honor Amber’s life will be Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1:00 am. The location; Tacoma Christian Reformed Community Church, 2419 E 72nd Street, Tacoma WA 98408. Refreshments to follow the service.
